Pulsar X2 Aim Trainer Edition Review
Introduction: Hello everyone! It's Electro Techie, and I'm here to electrify you with my review of the Pulsar x2 Aim Trainer Edition. Today, we will be examining whether this mouse has the power to impress, or if it falls short.
Preliminary Information: To begin with, I purchased this
product using my own funds. However, even if it had been provided for review,
my thoughts on the product would remain unaltered. Please note that this is not
a product review sample.
A bit about me: As someone who has been gaming for over two
decades, I have a deep passion for video games and have been playing on various
consoles since the days of the Sega Genesis. However, in 2017, I made the
switch to PC gaming and have been fully immersed in it ever since, thanks to my
friends who helped me build my first PC. While I've never considered myself a
fan of FPS games, I always felt like the weakest link in the chain when playing
with friends or solo. Despite this, I continued to play them fervently.
However, after sustaining an injury in 2021, I decided to delve into the world
of Aim Training, and let me tell you, I was hooked. Although I may not be a
pro, I have learned a lot in the past few years and have a unique perspective
to share with others.
A bit about the company: Pulsar Gaming Gears, established in
Korea in 2020, coinciding with the release of the renowned G Pro X Superlight,
has continuously expanded its offerings and improved its internal components to
compete with top competitors, resulting in a significant increase in their fan
base. From fingertip to claw to palm grip, Pulsar offers a diverse range of
ideal mouse shapes to cater to all preferences. In addition to their impressive
mouse collection, they also have an impressive lineup of other gaming
accessories including grip tape, mousepads, mouse skates, keyboards, switches,
and more. However, let's begin with their specialty: gaming mice.
After the
Logitech superlight's debut, subsequent mice have had to strive for an
unprecedented level of excellence just to stay in the game. Let's determine if
this formidable mouse lives up to the hype.
The basics: Let's start with the basics. The technical
specifications of this mouse are quite impressive. It boasts an impressive
battery life of 70 hours, although this may vary depending on your usage. With
heavy gaming and frequent use, I typically only need to charge the mouse once a
week, which is pretty good in my opinion. However, this is becoming the
standard for most mice nowadays. The mouse also features a pixart 3395 sensor,
which is known for its precision in wireless mice. The implementation of this
sensor is top-notch, with no noticeable lag or hitching. It offers a 1k polling
rate and other controls such as ripple control and angle snapping.
Additionally, it has an adjustable Lift off Distance (LOD) and debounce
settings. While these features are considered standard in today's market, they
are still impressive internals for a mouse, especially one with wireless
capabilities. Speaking of which, this mouse is wireless and comes with a black
dongle. It also has the option to be used as a wired mouse, making it a
versatile choice. The mouse uses a braided USB Type-C connection, which is the
standard nowadays, and has a cable length of 1.8 meters (around 6 feet) that is
very flexible. The dimensions of the mouse are 120mm in length, 63mm in width, and
38cm in height, measured from the hump of the mouse to the bottom. Wireless
mice are becoming increasingly popular as the technology becomes more
accessible, even from budget Chinese brands, and the advancements in technology
have made it possible for those who may not be able to afford a Razer or
Logitech mouse to have access to them. However, this particular mouse is quite
expensive, priced at $95. Despite the high cost, it does come with added
features such as a kovaaks code, two sets of skates, mouse grips, and a unique
color on the scroll wheel, making it a compelling option in its price range.
The box also contains an instruction manual, the kovaaks code, and other
goodies and accessories, making the unboxing experience quite beautiful and
unique. In fact, it is one of the few boxes that I have kept for myself, and it
can even rival my Lamzu Atlantis Mini.
The Meat and Potatoes: Let's begin our review of this mouse!
In this review, we will discuss both positive and negative aspects, as well as
provide objective and subjective thoughts, comments, and observations. The
mouse features Huano Blue Shell Pink Dot switches, which are used for mouse 1,
mouse 2, and the two side buttons. In my opinion, these switches feel great and
are one of my preferred types of mechanical switches. They offer light and
spammable clicks, without many issues of double clicking or slamming. The
clicks are also snappy and not mushy, which is ideal for me. The middle scroll
wheel uses a TTC Gold encoder, which has well-defined steps and feels nice. For
reference, my hand size is 18 by 7 cm and my main grip style is a fingertip
grip with contact points in the middle or back of the mouse. After testing
multiple mousepads, including the InfinityMice Infinte control, xray pad
obsidian skates, LGG Venus Pro, Puretrak p-51 Mustang, and the unique skates in
the aim trainer pack, corepadz featuring the pro, and air, the mouse proved to
be comfortable and capable. I spent numerous hours using each pad and changing
the skates to truly understand the mouse's performance. In the end, I found
that there is no wrong combination and personal preference and shape are the
determining factors. The coating on the mouse out of the box is also
impressive, providing a grippier feel similar to a ping pong ball. I noticed
that the grip increases when my hands are wet, but I personally prefer to use
Pulsar's supergrips on my mouse, which feel excellent.
Verdict and final thoughts: In my honest opinion, I believe
that the mouse is an excellent choice for all types of gamers. Whether you are
a casual player looking to improve or maintain consistency, a competitive
player seeking an extra advantage, or an esports athlete in need of reliable
gear, this mouse has everything you need. The design and shape of the mouse may
be a matter of personal preference, but in my eyes, it is a beautifully crafted
device that caters to both palm and fingertip grips, and can also accommodate a
claw grip with ease. If you are in the market for a new mouse and this
particular model catches your eye, I highly recommend giving it a try. I truly
believe that you cannot make a mistake by choosing this as your mouse of
choice, if it aligns with your preferences. Thank you for tuning in, and I look
forward to seeing you all in my next video. This is Electro Techie, phasing
out. And Remember, I don’t want to sell (cell) you or anything, I just want to
make sure your current purchase doesn’t come up short. (pun)
